The Ãå±±½ûµØ UTeach Program provides students the opportunity to explore teaching secondary mathematics, computer science, biology, chemistry, earth-space science, and physics at the middle school and high school levels.

About the Program

The Ãå±±½ûµØ UTeach program includes the following Instructional Program Elements:

  • Compact and Flexible Degree Plans
    Ãå±±½ûµØ UTeach offers four-year degree plans that fully integrate students’ content major requirements and UTeach program requirements, which allow students to obtain secondary teacher certification while earning a degree in science, mathematics, or computer and mathematical sciences.
  • Rigorous, Research-Based Instruction
    Courses are designed to develop deep understanding of content of particular importance to future secondary STEM teachers and build strong connections between educational theory and practice.
  • Early and Intensive Field Experiences
    Students begin a carefully scaffolded sequence of intensive teaching opportunities in their first semester of the program and continue these field experiences throughout in order to accelerate professional development and promote confidence.
  • Dedicated Master Teachers
    Master teachers—clinical faculty with exemplary secondary teaching experience—are exclusively dedicated to student support and program success.
